Three Views
Score View
This view shows the notated score. Pinch to zoom, and the score will adjust to fit. Tap on any measure or beat to set the playhead location.
Keyboard View
This view displays the piano keyboard. Swipe left or right to scroll. Note that Middle C has a light gray dot. While playing, the correct keys will light up in green. While listening back to your performance (MIDI keyboard required), notes you missed or didn’t play will light up in orange, and notes that you played correctly will light up in green.
Mixer View
This view shows four channels: Left Hand, Right Hand, Accompaniment, and Metronome. Drag the sliders to adjust each channel’s volume. Tap each channel’s icon to enable or disable it.

- In Normal Play-Along mode, the tempo is fixed. Feel the steady beat and “keep on going!”
- In Follow Me mode, the player will intelligently adjust speed when you accelerate or ritard.
Play Recording
(MIDI keyboard required)
When you have a MIDI keyboard connected, Piano Adventures® Player is always listening. Tap this button to listen back to your most recent performance. In Keyboard View, notes you missed or didn’t play will light up in orange, and notes that you played correctly will light up in green.
Tips and Tricks
- Double-tap the Rewind or Fast Forward button to jump to the beginning or the end of a song.
- To play a song again, you don’t need to rewind. Just tap Play, and the song will start from the beginning.
- Double-tap the thumb knob of a slider to reset its position. This works on the Mixer and on the Tempo Control.
Connections and Support
Piano Adventures® Player works great as a jukebox to accompany any acoustic piano, but you can unlock additional functionality by connecting to a MIDI keyboard. The simplest connection requires just a USB device cable and Apple’s USB Camera adapter. Find the right configuration for you.
Piano Adventures® Player features a high-quality sampled soundset. Enjoy the full definition by connecting to a good sound system using an auxiliary cable from the headset jack. See our recommendations.
