Using Enhanced CDs with PCs
When you insert the disc into your computer, Windows shows a dialog box with several choices. You will see a choice to play the audio CD, a choice to AutoRun the content, and at the bottom, a choice to Open folder to view files.
If you AutoRun the content, your web browser will open and you will see the track listings and links to open the folder of MIDI files.
Alternatively, you can access the files manually. Eject the disc, put it back in again, and in that dialog box, pick the last choice to Open folder to view files. There is a “midi” folder there with the files, which you can copy to the device or media of your choice. Some Faber Piano Adventures enhanced CDs have a “resources” folder first, and then a “midi” folder.
Once you have saved the files, you will need some software to play them. Windows Media Player can play them, but it doesn’t offer the choices to change tempo, mute tracks, etc.
